Friday Beauty Finds – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation

This week’s Friday Beauty Finds’ feature is Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation, it comes in 10 shades, and I got the shade 120 – Classic Ivory, which is also for normal to oily skin.

This costs Php399 pesos in Watsons / SM Beauty section, but it can also be purchased from Shopee and Lazada. As most of you know, Maybelline always offer discounts on their products so be on the look out for the SALE offers!

This foundation has a runny consistency.  With a pinkish to yellow undertone.  I think this best suits Filipina-Chinese complexion.

It also feels very light when applied. It has a powder finish but I still set it with powder to lock it in.  It is best used with a primer to help it blur big pores.  It doesn’t feel like I am wearing a ton of product on my face when I use this.  For this photo, I used a paddle brush to apply the foundation.  It isn’t streaky at all.  Coverage is light to medium only.  I do not wish to put on more to achieve full coverage because I have a feeling it has a tendency to crack on laugh lines.

When worn in a cool place, my skin stays matte for a long time, however, when outside, oiliness sets in faster. I have been wearing this for a few days now and I noticed that I start to get oily roughly within 6 hours of application.  The foundation also fades around my nose and forehead area, probably because these are the parts that I normally touch.  It has minimal transfer when blotting with oil blotting sheets or tissue.

This is after 10 hours of wearing the foundation. Notice that my forehead started to show my true color, and the blemish under my nose is more evident.

The only negative I can say about this foundation is the packaging. Since the packaging is glass, I must wrap this baby very carefully when travelling.  It also does not have a spatula or a dropper to get the product out.  You will need to pour out the contents on a mixing plate or the back of your hand.

Final thoughts:

This foundation gives you bang for your buck, definitely a best buy. Perfect for everyday use, that will even out your skin tone, without looking like you’re going to a gala event!

INSTAPOST 2016-001: MeNow Kissproof Lipstick

Lately I’ve been secretly addicted to make up (again), that I’ve been adding to my stash on a weekly basis.  Secretly, because I haven’t been wearing make up on a daily basis – only when I have the time in the morning.  I’ve been finding really great make up and most of them are inexpensive.  Let me start with my favorite lipcolor nowadays – the MeNow PRO Kissproof lipstick.

*Disclaimer: I bought this set with my own money, this is not an advertisement nor a professional review.  I am not a professional make up artist, nor an enthusiast, I am just a make up lover who hopes to help other make up lovers with my finds.

Back to the MeNow PRO Kissproof lipstick.

Fast Facts:
Price: 120Php (Pretty Angel Shoppe in Robinson’s Galleria)
Colors: A wide array, I bought two shades 15 (lighter) and 16 (darker).
Why I Love It: It’s matte, and doesn’t “kiss off” easily.  Also easy to remove if needed.

The Truth:
The darker pink shade stains a little when I drink on a cup or wipe my mouth after eating, but the lighter shade of pink doesn’t.  It stays an entire day on the lips, and I retouch only once a day (after eating).  Another thing to like about this is the ease of removal, I don’t tug on my lips to scrape off the product, all I do is use water and gently rub off the product from my lips.

You can probably find swatches of this brand on online shops (try Shopee!).  I loved this product so much that I ordered 5 more of different shades.  They are nice for everyday use.  The best thing about it, it’s really really really inexpensive.  Will try to post how it looks on my lips soon, so come back and visit!

Enjoy!
