Money-Saving Tips When Traveling

Hello Loveys!

We all love to save money, and here are my tips on how I save money when I travel.

We should remember that when we travel, we should not always think about penny-pinching. I travel to experience and not deprive myself because I do not know when I will be able to go back to the place and have regrets for not doing what needs to be done.

Find a balance between spending and not spending. And never ever spend beyond your means.

Here’s the video I made on how I save money when I travel. Enjoy!

How I Plan and Budget My Travels

Hello Loveys! One of the things I truly prepare for when traveling is my budget. I hate going overbudget but I don’t like to go underbudget as well. I want a memorable trip, to achieve that I always consider a certain budget and determine my non-negotiables when I visit a certain place. Not all travels should be about penny-pinching. It’s about making the trip worth your while, but still spending within your means.

Here’s the youtube video of how I plan and prepare a budget for my travels.

A Trip to SMTOWN, KBS and Starfield Library | Day 5 in Korea!

On Day 5 of our Winter Trip to Korea, we decided to be what any warm-blooded girl in world would do in Seoul – BE a FANGIRL of our favorite KPOP singers and dancers, as well as Korean actors and actresses.

We “trotted” on to COEX mall after our daily breakfast at MOM House (if I’m not mistaken Super Junior KyuHyun’s dad was there as well).  Since we were a bit early, Mina and I did a photo session at the Starfield Library.  The place is really for reading, they had a lot of tables and chairs, and an extensive collection of books not only in Korean, but English as well.  We even met a Korean elder who was practicing his English, and helped him out with some of his pronunciation.

After a few minutes, we headed to SMTOWN, and I didn’t expect that the entrance fee to the museum would be EXPENSIVE!  We didn’t go to the museum but we went to the SMSTORE instead.  Mina was in Super Junior heaven, we stayed for about an hour and while I window-shopped (read: did not buy) for KPOP memorabilia, Mina went through the aisles of merchandise for about 100 times.  We went to the next floor up to sit down in a cute cafe, but didn’t buy any merch there either.

We proceeded to have snacks cake and drinks at Super Junior Yesung’s cafe, Mouse Rabbit.  It is a 3-storey cafe with different themes per floor, we ate at the second floor, which was decorated with books and merchandise.

After resting a bit at Mouse Rabbit, we went to the KBS Exhibition Hall in Yeoeuido (still in Seoul).  This would be my 4th time in the KBS Main Building and Mina’s first time.  As usual, I had my pictures taken with Song Joongki, and the members of 1N2D.  I even learned how a director controls a live show because they had a demo area of a live studio there too.

A SNOWY DAY IN SOUTH KOREA

Hello Loveys!

On Day 4 of our Winter Korea Vacation in December 2019, my best friend Mina and I went to SNOWYLAND ADVENTURE in Vivaldi Park, Gangwon-do Province. Since we were in Korea early December, we didn’t know if SNOWYLAND will open by the time we were there.  So, I sent an email to confirm if they will open during the dates we were there and after a few days, they replied that they will be OPEN!

We didn’t book our tickets immediately, because we waited for KLOOK to open up a promo.  Luckily, by the time we arrived in Korea, that the  SNOWYLAND PACKAGE opened up in KLOOK.  My best friend Mina bought the vouchers for Package 1, which included the roundtrip transfers (Seoul to Vivaldi Park and vv), Snowyland ticket and roundtrip gondola ride.

I wanted to try snowboarding, however, I wasn’t physically prepared.  I am at my heaviest weight ever and I was turning 40 in a few days.  I didn’t trust myself that I will be riding safe so I opted not to.  So, we did tubing instead.  It was soooo fun to play in the snow!

Mina resides in Canada (where it’s cold 80% of the year), so she was not really “happy” to be spending an entire day in the snow.  But, she HAD to oblige to my request because it was my first time to experience snow.  She even BUILT ME A SNOWMAN.  I sang to her while she did it (enter Frozen Soundtrack — Do you want to build a snowman?).

Here’s a short montage of what we did in SNOWYLAND.  Enjoy!
